MINUTES from March 8, 2022 HOA Zoom Meeting

Meeting minutes from January 11, 2022 were approved.

Committee Reports
Financials:

  • Frances raised questions about the balance sheet before the November, 2021 meeting, Joanne has fixed and resubmitted to board for Frances to review. Revision was discussed and approved. Century bank statements from July 2020 to March 2022 were reviewed by the President, with no concerns.
    HOA fees have been collected with the exception of two homeowners. The board will reach out again to remind them that HOA fees were due by March 1, 2022.

Landscaping:

  • The President, along with interested homeowners, will meet with the City of Santa Fe and the Fire Department on March 16, 2022 to assess all fire concerns and to discuss cutting down mature elm trees, located behind the homes on the north side of subdivision with backyards facing the Arroyo Chamisa.

Old Business

  • Lauren and Susanne worked together to make sure the board’s email list of homeowners coincide with Dave’s list.
  • Dave is the IT person for our website, www.vistadelprado.com
  • It’s important that any updated homeowners’ email addresses be sent to the board: board@vistadelprado.com

New Business
At the upcoming HOA meeting on May 14th, there will be 3 positions available to serve on the upcoming board. Board positions will be decided by the board, after the HOA meeting concludes. Susanne, Liz and Frances will be stepping down from the current board.

Here is some important information for the board to consider for the upcoming year

  • Major liability concern: there is an upheaval in the sidewalk near 3360 Vista del Prado Court. This is the HOA responsibility.
  • There are water retention ponds throughout the subdivision needing to be inspected by a plumber or drainage expert. These need to be cleaned out of silt so water can drain properly into the arroyo. If not cleaned out, this presents concerns for proper water drainage, especially during the monsoonal season.
  • Continual maintenance of the common area behind 3353 and 3357 Vista del Prado Court. This is a fire concern. It is now locked, as there have been homeless people staying back in there. Nancy and Clemens both have a key to that lock. It is important to stay in touch with Clemens to make sure that immature elms are cut down before they mature. In the past, mature elms in our common areas have presented concerns to homeowners’ roofs.

Next Meeting: 
This will be our annual HOA meeting, on May 14th, 2022 at 10AM. The meeting will be held in person, in the cul-de-sac near 3352 Vista del Prado Court. Please bring a chair as we will be meeting in person.
