Minutes From Board Meeting on September 9th
Present: Board members: Susanne Lockford, Joanna Anaya, Liz Urioste and Scott Hogan
Not Present: Nancy Pivonka and Frances Rodriquez
- Call to order by Susanne @ 6:10pm
- Approval of Agenda
- Approved minutes from meeting of August12, 2020
- Old Business:
- Discussion on landscaping contract with Clemens; after obtaining several quotes from other landscaping services to see who offers best price, it was agreed that Clemens remains with the best price. Susanne met with James and Kristin from Clemens to discuss our revised contract. Susanne received two keys to open the locked gate around one of the common areas, on Vista Del Prado Court. That area was locked due to concerns with vagrancy.
- Joanna presented the current financial report. Homeowners dues were received from the 2 owners who have not paid their annual dues. Only one homeowner remains outstanding. That homeowner told Frances that she will pay by the end of October.
- Slight discussion on “Roberts rules of order”. Motion by Scott and seconded by Joanna to review.
- New Business
- Concerns were discussed by the board concerning the liability issues regarding the tree upheaval on the west end of commons area, same side of the street as the mailboxes. The board will need to address what to do about this concern.
- Susanne made a motion to increase homeowners dues to $225, seconded by Joanna and Scott. This motion was made because Clemens raised our monthly landscaping fees, and because of the future need to take care of the liability concerns (see #1 above)
- Next board meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 5, 2020, via Zoom.
